Bezel under crystal, undirectionally rotating via crown, sapphire crystal, transparent case back, screw in crown at 9 o'clock. The originality of the R&D01 lies in the unusual position of its push-pieces on the left-hand side of the watch, making it very easy for racing drivers to operate the chronograph functions. At the same time, the crown, which has a smooth, curved integrated crown-shield, is positioned at 4 o’clock for easy access and wearer comfort. The smooth, rounded crown-guard, inspired by the shape of a competition car's air intake, protects the date corrector as well as the crown. The Manufactory-made movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case-back secured with six screws, of the kind used in the competition car construction. List price £5,280 |
