The Longines Lindbergh retains the attractive design worthy of a complex measuring instrument. Its striking Roman numerals contrast attractively with to its otherwise soberly functional face. Like its Louis XV styled turnip-shaped crown and Breguet hands, they recall an earlier time, when the Art Déco movement decreed that every object had to be beautiful and suitably decorated no matter how utilitarian its purpose. The Longines Lindbergh 75th Anniversary Edition comes in its original 47.50 mm size and is equipped with a mechanical Longines L699 self-winding mechanical movement. The watch features a superbly finished stainless-steel case and a brown, Alligator strap. |
