CREDIT CARDS AND PAYPAL PAYMENTS We have stopped taking credit cards as from December 2008 due to very high charges from Barclays Bank.. We can take payment via PayPal but we add 4% fees and it takes 7 working days before we send the goods out. We are now working with a new credit card company and we hope to be on line by the end of October 2010. Thank you for your understanding. |

In the Eco-Drive design the primarypower source is a solar cell located behindthe translucent face of the watch. This canbe seen in certain models at certain viewingangles as a cross with the intersection atthe center of the watch face. The solar cell creates electricity wheneverlight strikes it. Unfortunately, the amountof current which such a small solar cellproduces is not enough to power the functionsof a watch. To provide the power to run the watch arechargeable battery is installed, and thesolar cell recharges the battery. Since thebattery, when installed already has a chargethe solar cell is able to keep up with thepower demand of the watch movement. This type of batteryhas a capacity of more than 10 times that ofcapacitors of the same size. When the rechargeable battery is fullydischarged the watch stops functioning untilthe solar cell has charged the battery enoughto run the watch. The MT920 battery can operate for 2500 hoursat a 1.2uA load with a flat operating voltageof between 1.5 and 1.2 volts. The replacement life of thesebatteries is hard to determine because of themany factors involved. In an idealoperating environment, a battery should needreplacement somewhere between 15 and 28years. The Eco-Drive movementis typical of today's quartz watches andutilizes the most modern materials andmanufacturing methods to achieve a rugged, long lasting, reliable watch. |
